Blurb:

Ethan Scott was reluctant to claim his mate, Lily Reynolds. He was afraid his carnal needs would be too much for the curvy innocent. His wolf was of another mind, pushing the man relentlessly to mate. But Ethan knew once he had the brown-haired beauty there would no turning back. He’d claim her, mate her, and bred her. When she’s attacked by a group of rouge wolves, Ethan fears he has left his claiming too late and will lose his mate forever. When he comes to her rescue, he discovers the spirited Lily is more than ready to be the mate of an alpha.

Lily Reynolds has been crushing on her boss since she started work at Wolfe Enterprises six months ago. She knew the chances of attracting the wolf into a long-term relationship were slim to none – slim being a state she hadn’t achieved since childhood. She loved her curves and knew there was someone out there who would love every soft, luscious inch of her voluptuous body. Heartbroken, she knew Ethan Scott wasn’t that man despite the hot and cold signals the wolf shifter had been given her for months.

Review:

This is a baby novella about a hot alpha wolf shifter claiming his mate. Lily feels the attraction from Ethan but she is insecure with her body. When she is under a random attack from rogue shifters, Ethan comes to her rescue. This is a fast paced short story that will make you keep your eyes on the pages despite its short length.

Guest Post and Giveaway: The Memory of Blood and Lotuses by E.E. Ottoman

I am a rather reluctant author of vampire paranormal romance. I’ve never been a fan of romance stories about vampires. It was just never my thing.

I have always been a fan of vampires in horror though. Awful, scary vampires who do terrible things.

Count Dracula from Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Count Orlok form Nosferatu
Mr. Snow in the original UK Being Human

These are the kind of vampires I like, but these kinds of vampires don’t make very good heroes for romance novels. There are very few chances for a Happily Ever After when your love interest is an actual monster after all.

Some of the vampire tropes I’m the least fond of have been created specifically to solve this problem. Vampires not needing to kill people when they drink their blood for instance, or vampires getting all angsty about being vampires and spending the novel suffering from a bad case of self-loathing. Blood sucking being a quasi-sexual act that feels super pleasurable for the receiver, and vampires having “one true mate” like werewolves are also tropes designed to make vampires easier to write as romance heroes and heroines.

It is recommended for the 18+ who enjoy some violence, don't mind dirty language, and are up for a dash of sex. Not to mention an awesome, rollicking good mystery!

The atrocities Anita describes send Sydney, Blue and Dan on a quest that takes them across India after a dangerous and, up until now, untouchable, figure. His parents want him to marry an Oscian princess to cement that tentative peace. Unfortunately Severin isn't interested in princesses. Now, if he had his pick of princes that would be another matter.

Havyn has been a slave all his life. When his aptitude for wizardry is discovered, he finds himself purchased and freed by Prince Severin and apprenticed to the royal wizard, Ildar. His duty is to stay chaste to keep his powers strong, but his feelings for Severin sorely test his resolve.

Guest Post: The Dark Light of Day by T.M. Frazier

I would like to welcome T.M. (Tracey Marie) Frazier to the blog! She is going to talk about her novel, The Dark Light of Day.

A couple of weeks ago I was lying on the beach in Miami, soaking in the great weather and enjoying some epic people watching (think old, overly-tanned, leathery men in itty bitty banana-hammock swimsuits). It was a last minute surprise trip planned by my husband. It was also my 32nd birthday.

My phone buzzed with a text message from FED EX. PACKAGE DELIVERED it read.

“It’s here.” I smiled and whispered to my husband, holding my hand over my mouth as if I was telling him a secret I didn't want others to hear.

As far as Lex is concerned, she’s simply an ambitious and independent archaeology grad student with a knack for deciphering ancient languages, especially the various forms of Egyptian. When she’s recruited to work on her dream excavation, her translating skills uncover the secret entrance to an underground Egyptian temple concealed within Djeser-Djeseru—the famous mortuary temple of Queen Hatchepsut. Lex is beyond thrilled by her discovery…as is the enigmatic and alluring excavation director, Marcus Bahur.

As the relationship between Lex and Marcus heats up, a series of shocking revelations leave the young archaeologist reeling.
